About us
WL Consulting & Engineering is born from the passion of Stephen Wiche and Isabelle Lecreps for bulk materials science and its application to both designing performing and reliable industrial systems for material handling, storage and transportation and solving issues with equipment already in operation. Their close collaboration led to the success of very challenging projects in areas such as pneumatic conveying, design of storage bins, wet concentrator vessels and leaching tanks, wear prediction and management, reduction of dust emissions and design of various feeding and discharge systems.
WL Consulting & Engineering is an independent consulting business focused on quality of services and excellent collaboration with clients and partners from the very first step of every project, be it small or big, simple or challenging. The manager, Isabelle Lecreps, has over 10 years experience in the field of bulk materials handling. She was given the chance to be successively mentored by two prestigious names, Prof. Karl Sommer, renowned expert in the field of particulate mechanics based in Munich, Germany, and Stephen Wiche whose ingenious mind has led to improved storage, feeding, discharge and transport operations in most plants across Australia over the last 35 years. Since the passing of Stephen in 2014, Isabelle endeavours to carry on Stephen’s life work following the motto they both shared “Applying our knowledge and understanding of bulk materials to help the industry solve their problems”.
Isabelle is active member of the Australian Standard sub-committee for coal preparation and leader of two Working Groups dealing with dustiness testing and determination of flow properties of coal, respectively. She is author of over 30 publications, especially in the field of pneumatic conveying and design of surge bin and wet solids concentrator vessels. Previously lecturing at the Technical University of Munich in Germany, she also lectured the course relating to the design of screw conveyors and screw feeders at the University of Newcastle from 2010 to 2013.
